1. Introduction
Calcitra is a calculator and utility app published by Colligo Infotech. We built Calcitra to be useful and private: your calculations run on your device, and the features that involve any data leaving your device are either opt-in or optional and clearly described below.
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the Calcitra app (com.msetuapps.calcitra) and this website. It is written to be accurate to what the app actually does. If you do not agree with this policy, please discontinue use of the app.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Calculations — on-device by default
All calculations run locally on your device. The values and inputs you enter into calculators are not transmitted to us and not stored by us. They stay on your device unless you choose to enable an optional feature (such as cloud sync) described below.
2.2 Usage analytics On by default, opt-out
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how it is used: screens viewed, which calculators are opened, searches, and feature taps (copy, share, favorite), together with device model, OS and app version, and a pseudonymous app-instance identifier. The Advertising ID is not used for analytics, and what you type into calculators is never collected. Turn this off anytime in Settings → Privacy & data. In the EEA/UK, analytics storage stays off until you give consent in the consent prompt. See Firebase privacy.
When the same switch is on, the app also sends our own anonymous feedback events (which calculator was opened, your Yes/No answer to "Did this calculator help?", a random install ID, and the app version) to our backend (Supabase). This contains no personal data: no name, no precise location, no device identifiers, and no advertising ID.
2.3 Advertising data (free tier) Free tier only
On the free tier, we use Google AdMob to display ads. To serve and measure ads, the AdMob SDK (operated by Google) may collect device information, app-interaction data, an advertising identifier, and approximate (coarse) location, including, where applicable, for personalised ads. AdMob may share this data with Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. This collection is performed by Google, not by our own analytics, and we do not collect precise (GPS-level) location.
In the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, we show a consent prompt using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), and you may choose non-personalised ads. Pro (ad-free) users do not see ads. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and the AdMob data information page.
2.4 Cloud sync account data (Pro) Optional
Cloud sync is an optional feature for Pro users. If you choose to sign in with your email to enable cloud sync, we collect and store:
- Your email address — used only to send you a one-time sign-in code and to identify your account.
- Your app data — your favourites, history, and custom calculators, so they can sync across your devices.
This data is stored in our backend (Supabase) and protected by per-user row-level security, so your account data is only accessible to your account. We use it solely to sync your data across your own devices. You can sign out at any time and request deletion (see Retention & deletion).
2.5 Purchases
Purchases (for example, upgrading to Pro) are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Google handles payment processing in accordance with its own terms and policies.
To confirm an active subscription, the app sends the store's purchase token to our backend (Supabase) for verification with Google Play. We store only the resulting entitlement status and an anonymous reference — never your payment information.
2.6 Crash reports On by default, opt-out
If the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, a crash report (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, and a random installation identifier Crashlytics uses to group reports — not linked to your identity) is sent via Firebase Crashlytics (operated by Google) so we can find and fix the problem quickly. Crash reports contain no names, emails, or your calculator inputs. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & data → "Send crash reports" — turning it off also deletes any reports not yet sent. See Firebase privacy.
2.7 Website statistics This website only
Our website (calcitra.msetuapps.com) records anonymous, cookieless visit statistics: the page viewed, the referring site (domain only), campaign tags in the link you clicked, and a coarse device type (mobile/desktop). No cookies, no identifiers, no IP addresses are stored, and we honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. This helps us understand how people find Calcitra.
3. How we use data
We use the limited data described above only for the following purposes:
| Data | Purpose | Basis / choice |
|---|---|---|
| Calculator inputs | Perform calculations on your device | Stays on device; not sent to us |
| Usage analytics & feedback events | Understand which calculators help and improve the app | On by default; opt out in Settings |
| Advertising data (AdMob) | Serve and measure ads on the free tier | Consent in EEA/UK; not shown to Pro users |
| Crash reports (Crashlytics) | Diagnose and fix crashes & errors quickly | On by default; opt out in Settings |
| Email address (cloud sync) | Send a one-time sign-in code; identify your account | You enable cloud sync (optional) |
| Synced app data | Sync favourites, history & custom calculators across your devices | You enable cloud sync (optional) |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your synced app data for advertising.
4. Third parties
We work with a small number of service providers to deliver specific features. They process data only for the purposes described here.
Google AdMob (advertising)
Used to serve and measure ads on the free tier. AdMob may process and share device information, app-interaction data, an advertising identifier, and approximate (coarse) location. See Google's Privacy Policy and the AdMob data information page.
Supabase (backend / storage)
Hosts our backend, where we store anonymous analytics events and, for users who enable cloud sync, account email and synced app data protected by per-user row-level security.
Google Play Billing (payments)
Processes purchases. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics)
Processes usage analytics (screens, features used, device/app info, app-instance identifier — never calculator inputs, never the Advertising ID) so we can improve the app. Opt out anytime in Settings → Privacy & data.
Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)
Processes crash reports (stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, and a random installation identifier used to group reports) so we can diagnose and fix bugs. Operated by Google; opt out anytime in Settings → Privacy & data.
Network data (rates & content)
To keep results current, the app fetches live currency exchange rates from a third-party rate provider and optional calculator catalog updates from our backend. These requests carry no personal data — only the request for the latest rates or content.
5. Your choices & consent
- Analytics: opt in or out at any time in Settings. Analytics is off unless you agree.
- Ads (EEA/UK): when shown the consent prompt, you can choose personalised or non-personalised ads. You can also remove ads entirely by upgrading to Pro.
- Cloud sync: entirely optional. Use the app fully without signing in. If you do sign in, you can sign out at any time.
- Deletion: request deletion of your cloud account data by signing out or by emailing us (see Retention & deletion).
6. Data we do not collect
We want to be explicit about what Calcitra does not collect. We do not collect your:
- Name
- Contacts
- Photos or files
- Precise location
- Messages
- Health records
Our own analytics also do not use device identifiers or an advertising ID.
7. Children
Calcitra is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@msetuapps.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data. Data in transit is protected using HTTPS, and cloud data is access-controlled per user through per-user row-level security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the limited data we handle.
9. Retention & deletion
Anonymous analytics cannot be tied to an individual, so it cannot be retrieved or deleted on a per-person basis; it is retained in aggregate form to help us improve the app.
Cloud account data (your email and synced app data) is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete it at any time:
- In the app: Settings → Cloud sync → Delete account — removes your email and all synced data from our servers.
- On the web: follow the steps on our account deletion page.
- By email: support@msetuapps.com.
Note: deleting your Calcitra account does not cancel a Google Play subscription — manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the CCPA may give you rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we hold very little personal data (essentially your email and synced app data, only if you enable cloud sync), you can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@msetuapps.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. International transfers
Our service providers (such as Supabase and Google) may process and store data on servers located in countries other than your own. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on these providers' safeguards and applicable legal mechanisms to protect your data consistent with this policy and applicable law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as within the app. Your continued use of Calcitra after an update means you accept the revised policy.
